Job Readiness
A 6-week Saturday program building real workplace skills, from resumes to interviews.
Dream. Discover. Develop.
Mama K's Village equips Milwaukee youth ages 12–18 with the tools, support, and opportunities to thrive—today and tomorrow. Together, we create safer communities and stronger futures.
Mama K's Village (MKV) is fostering hope for the youth — creating opportunities for young people to dream, discover their strengths, and develop the skills and confidence needed to build positive futures.
Safe spaces.
Real mentors.
Clear pathways.
Every program moves youth through the same five phases — from first hello to launching what's next.
Introduce youth and families to MKV, expectations, goals, and available support.
Help youth identify interests, strengths, talents, and career possibilities.
Build job-readiness, communication, accountability, and practical skills.
Expose youth to mentors, employers, community resources, and positive networks.
Help youth apply what they learned toward employment, education, volunteering, or future goals.

Hands-on exposure to barbering, nails, lash, hairstyling, and other creative career paths.

Positive alternatives to violence, built on decision-making, confidence, and conflict-management skills.
Too many youth face violence, truancy, fighting, and a lack of safe spaces and positive activities. Mama K's Village steps in to break those cycles.
Whatever you have to give — time, funds, or a partnership — there's a place for you in the Village.
